YOUTH

Founded in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic by vetran linebacker niall lyons, the Vipers Youth Team provides a great opportunity for young people across Donegal and Derry to try a new sport.

In 2022 for the first time ever, the Vipers Youth team reached the playoffs. After a win over the Belfast Trojans and a tough draw with the South Dublin Panthers the youth team had made the playoffs.

In 2023 the Irish Wolfhounds created an U19 Irish National team for American Football. Many Vipers players were selected to the squad. For the first time in Vipers history a player was selected to captain the national team and a coach was selected from he Vipers.

Youth Football runs from June-November during the senior kitted off-season. It follows an 8v8 format with no special teams. It is open to anyone aged 15-18 (If 18 must be 17 at least one day of the playing year). Both males and females are welcome to participate. Youth Football is full-contact American Football coached by U19 Irish Wolfhounds Line-backer coach Niall Lyons.
